PHILOSOPHY

Ramzi Omar Design Studio - RODS is an architectural practise with roots in Dubai and Kerala, offering multidisciplinary design services and led by architect Ramzi Omar, who is redefining the boundaries of art and architecture. Ramzi Omar founded his eponymous design studio with the belief that architecture is a field without boundaries. From the beginning, he has worked to build a team of like-minded professionals who are passionate about creating innovative design solutions for extraordinary spaces, objects and identities. His connoisseur vision, which places design above all else, is at the heart of every project they undertake. What sets RODS apart is their commitment to uniting the beauty of art, the precision of engineering and the elegance of architecture.

Ramzi Omar

Principal Architect & Creative Director

Ramzi Omar is an architect specialising in the fusion of design, technology and architecture. He earned his Master's degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the World-renowned Design Research Laboratory - AADRL of the prestigious Architectural Association of London (AA) School of Architecture and has worked in the design industry for over a decade, both in the UAE and India. Throughout his career, he has worked on a broad range of projects including private villas, palaces, educational and cultural institutions, stadiums, residential and mixed-use towers, Hospitality and master plan projects. His architectural style is strongly influenced by nature, and he has a strong command over parametric and kinetic architecture. Before founding Ramzi Omar Design Studio, he gained valuable experience at renowned firms such as Thomas Associates Architects (Bangalore), EOM (UAE), and Bead Architects (UAE) after completing his bachelor's degree at Ramaiah Institute of Technology in Bangalore.

Firos Basheer

Project Manager & Managing Partner

Firos Basheer, managing partner and co-founder, earned his bachelor's degree in interior design from Sri Devi College in Mangalore and has a decade of experience in construction and project management. Since then, he has passionately worked with various design teams and developed a versatile skill set that he can bring to any project.
